Email for Dave

I set this up so it could be a place for everyone to talk to him.

bigwavedave920@yahoo.com

Once I get there tomorrow he will have his lap top.

Shit hits the fan

This is the start of our journey with Dave's Cancer. He had been sick for 4 months and nothing the Dr. tried worked. So 5 Doctors later he is now getting chemo for acute myeloid leukemia.

We have heard from so many of our friends since he went in the hospital for his treatment. We love all you guys and you know who you are! I am sad that my sweetie is so sick and that I have to go to work when I would rather be with him but thats what days off are for. So thats all for right now.

Tully's knitting group

I went to meet up with the girls at the Port Orchard Tully's and I wished I had my camera with me. Everyone had something beautiful on their needles. We also had laura with her spindle, since I found out she is in Olalla too it looks like I might have someone to hang out with that loves fiber like I do. One of the ladies there also had made a knitted Pooh bear and also told me there is a pooh bear group on Ravelry. Once there I found another site that had rug hooked stuffed pooh bears so I just might buy the kit for my daughter Dawn for her birthday in Febuary.

Happy New Years

I am hoping that this year will be a much better year than last year. I will be having surgery soon to replace my damaged cochlear implant and during the time I will have off I plan to work on my different ideas I have for the new year.

More later when I am on my own computer so I can add pictures to this post also.

Goat cheese

Last week end I went out to see Vicky in Hansville. She now has a creamery that she sells her goats milk from. I have been wanting to make cheese for a while so I bought some of her goats milk. Once I got all the stuff together to make it, I thought it would be easy. Well I had to email Vicky a few times. My 1st problem was this morning there was no curds just milk. Vicky suggested that I add more rennet. Which worked. So after dinner I wrapped up my curds so they can drain for a few hours. Once that is done then I can put the cheese in a container and tomorrow morning I want to add some chives and garlic. I also hope to get pictures of the finished product and have some comments on how it tastes. So stay tuned as the cheese turns :D

Misshelaineous stuff

Rai and I went to my friend Jeannie's grandson Korbin's 1st birthday party on Saturday. As you can see she was very tired afterwards.

Here is a couple pictures of Dave and I when we went camping on the Elwah river for 3 days. It was suppose to rain the whole time but it only did it when we were hiking out to go home.

This is a fountain that my father in law made, it is pretty cool looking and I love the sound the water makes.

This is my white rock hen who has gone broody....she has 4 rhode island red eggs under her, I am hoping they will hatch.

Here is updates on how my silkies looking. I think that the black one may be a rooster so his name stays Fred and the white one is a hen so she is staying Ethel.

rhode island red bantams

Here is pictures of my little rhode island red bantams. They are about 2 months old. Since I had some issues with cats in our yard. I keep them in a huge cage where they have plenty of room and during the day I have them in a pen so they get to get bugs and weeds.

New Chicken coop

Dave had been putting up siding on our house and a new window this week end and we had enough to build
a new chicken coop that is now in the back yard. The old window is now the door to the coop and there is a back door to reach in to gather the eggs each day. It is in a very shady spot where there is plenty for them to eat besides their feed. I have 4 hens now and I am looking for a broody bantam hen so I can buy fertile eggs to hatch. So now all my pests oh I mean pets are in the back yard in their own homes.
Thank you hunny for making them a nice place to live!
